Axe attack at post office
TWO men armed with an axe and a crowbar entered the post office in Parsonage Drive, Cofton Hackett, just after 9am this morning.
They used the axe to smash the glass security screens and demanded staff hand over money.
The men left with a quantity of cash in a silver Mini, which was abandoned off Warren Lane, on the Lickey Hills.
The offenders were wearing balaclavas. One was at least 6ft tall and of "gangly" build. The other was shorter.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Bromsgrove CID or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
