The investment will lead to work starting in July and August, which includes the development of Bromsgrove station, and possible plans to electrify the cross city line. Work will also begin on fitting an additional interim signal on the Hereford to Birmingham line, via Droitwich. The changes should see an improvement in reliability and allow for increased capacity. |

The nine and ten-year-olds will also be given the chance to experience a full council meeting. The special visit will be rounded off with a tour of the boiler room at County Hall in Worcester which houses a wood chip burner that uses renewable energy resources. |
