8:00am Saturday 19th July 2008

MARK Fiddian made sure the boardroom bragging rights were his after a table tennis victory at the World Corporate Games.

The Droitwich resident won gold in the 40-49 year-old age category at the games in Leeds, as well as silver in the doubles representing his company IBM.

More than 140 companies and 6,000 competitors took part in the World Corporate Games, which allows major organisations to compete in a wide range of sports events.

Fiddian, a resource deployment manager, is no stranger to success in the competition.

He won gold in the 30-39 year-old age category at the 2002 games in Seville, Spain.

As well as captaining IBM's tennis team, Fiddian represents Worcestershire at county level, and plays in the Redditch and Bromsgrove league, and the Worcester and Kidderminster leagues.

He has also played at national level and has captured 14 titles during his career.
