A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious unprovoked assault on a pensioner which left the victim in hospital.
The alleged attack happened on Stalls Farm Road in Droitwich on Wednesday (April 10) when a 72-year-old man was injured.
West Mercia Police confirmed today (Friday) that a suspect, arrested on suspicion of the assault on Wednesday, was in custody.
A force spokesperson said: "The suspect male aged 30 years is said to have assaulted a 72-year-old male in an unprovoked attack causing serious injuries. The victim is currently being treated for his injuries at hospital."
