A brand-new food and drink initiative kicked off in Bromsgrove last weekend "bringing the hospitality community together".

A Taste of Bromsgrove, which has been organised by Visit Worcestershire, aims to showcase the tasty delights that the traditional market town has to offer.

The four-week campaign started on Sunday (May 5) and is set to run until Friday, May 31.

It will give residents a chance to sample bespoke set menus, special dishes and drink offers at competitive prices.

Amongst the local businesses taking part are the Bromsgrove Pizza Co, Casa Med Tapas, Ollie's Eatery, The Garrity, Bayley's, The Dry Spy and more.

Co-owner of Casa Med Cat Houghton said: "It's really great that A Taste of Bromsgrove is bringing the hospitality community together to showcase our impressive dining scene and to support each other.

"The hospitality industry has been a little bit rocky these past few months especially for independents, so we are excited and hopeful that this scheme will give us all a much needed boost whilst also giving our guests a taste of Bromsgrove at an even better price."

Budget-friendly menus will be also available for diners from a variety of other bars and restaurants involved in the event.
